New IBM LinuxONE system designed for cybersecurity, scalability, and AI inferencing for hybrid cloud environments.
Opollo Technologies is excited to be part of the launch of the new IBM LinuxONE 4 Express system available globally on February 20, 2024! Powered by IBM’s Telum processor, this new system expands the performance, security, and artificial intelligence capabilities of IBM LinuxONE to small and medium sized businesses and within new data center environments. IBM LinuxONE 4 Express has been designed to make it much easier for startups, like Opollo Technologies, to get started using the platform. By decreasing the technical barrier for entry, IBM empowers its customers to potentially achieve significant cost savings and quickly spin up workloads on a performative platform
Data security and data privacy is incredibly important in healthcare. Data breaches of protected health information (PHI) can result in reputation loss, federal investigations, and significant civil penalties for healthcare facilities and third-party vendors.
As an early-stage fintech, healthcare AI startup, Opollo Technologies processes PHI and sensitive financial data. Given the high stakes, early-stage startups in our industry who demonstrate to customers how they protect their data are more likely to gain traction faster than their peers.
In order for Opollo Technologies to show our customers that we take data security and data privacy seriously, we became an IBM LinuxONE customer. Our use of IBM Hyper Protect, a highly securable platform, plays an important role in winning over prospective customers’ IT Security Teams. By using IBM Hyper Protect Services’ confidential computing capabilities to keep PHI safe, we make a strong commitment to protecting our customers.
In particular, Opollo Technologies uses IBM Hyper Protect Crypto Services to store keys used to encrypt data at rest and IBM Hyper Protect Virtual Servers for secure execution (i.e., encrypt data during processing). Secure execution closes the data pipeline from creation, to processing, to storage, offering strong protection for companies handling sensitive data.
Opollo Technologies utilizes IBM LinuxONE through the IBM Hyper Protect Accelerator which is a startup accelerator and technical mentorship program. The program supports impact-focused startups leveraging highly sensitive data to improve the quality of, and access to digital, financial, and healthcare services. IBM provides selected startups with up to $120,000 in IBM Cloud Credits to enable confidential computing so that startups can protect sensitive client data via a flagship IBM offering known as IBM Hyper Protect, which is powered by IBM LinuxONE. IBM Hyper Protect enables startups to keep its most sensitive data secured. Startups can also leverage the credits to go toward IBM’s broader set of products and services, including machine learning, artificial intelligence (watsonx.ai), digital assets, and blockchain.
We are very grateful to IBM and the great people at the IBM Hyper Protect Accelerator for all their support and amazing opportunities we have received!
The mission of Opollo Technologies is to increase patient access to high-quality, low-cost healthcare. Our flagship product, the Opollo Ecosystem, is a cloud-based AI platform which consists of two components, Opollo™ and the Opollo Exchange. Opollo™ is an AI algorithm which learns from a wide range of healthcare data to yield more accurate surgery duration forecasts in minutes, without requiring the implementation of workflow changes. The Opollo Exchange is a marketplace for healthcare facilities to sell medical services to payers (e.g., health insurance companies, self-insured employers, state Medicaid, and Medicare).
In the Opollo Ecosystem, healthcare facilities benefit from increased revenue growth, cost savings, and cash flow cycle acceleration via the Opollo Exchange’s next day payments system. Payers are able to dispatch patients to efficient, high-quality, low-cost healthcare facilities, thus reducing insurance claim payouts and increasing their revenue via higher Medicare Advantage star ratings.
With the new IBM LinuxONE 4 Express system, IBM brings the power of hybrid cloud and AI with LinuxONE with a simple, easy to use rack mount format that fits in many data centers. IBM LinuxONE 4 Express offers an approachable hybrid cloud platform entry point for small to medium sized businesses and startups.
IBM LinuxONE 4 Express is designed to help clients simplify their IT environments and cut costs by consolidating databases onto a LinuxONE system. Designed to bring significant cost savings for clients over time, clients that move Linux workloads from an x86 server to an IBM LinuxONE 4 Express can save over 52% on their total cost of ownership over 5 years.1
As a part of the IBM Hyper Protect Accelerator Program and IBM Partner Plus, Opollo Technologies is thrilled to partner with IBM to bring new innovations to our customers!
